In the vastness of nature, the smallest details hold the greatest wonders.
The day before Torneträsk froze over – ice floes drift on the water, and the shoreline is completely frozen.
A whole little world of interconnected mires, small and large lakes in countless formations, streams, and ponds. The area is called Skogvoll Nature Reserve and was established in 1983 to preserve a large and important wetland area with associated plant and animal life.

The river Gállanjohka flows into Cunojohka on Skjomenfjellet. But before the rivers meet, Gállanjohka makes some truly amazing meandering turns in the flat landscape. A fascinating sight.
